Remember that whole Michael Richards debacle last year when he yelled out the N-word during one of his “acts”? (in quotation marks cause it’s only an act if it’s funny) Well, THAT was wrong. He’s not allowed to say that because he’s white. Chris Rock can say the N-word and everyone can laugh. Why? Cause he’s black? Partly, well, largely, but also cause it was funny when he used it. I guess it’s the context.
Now - Jesse Jackson gets caught on TV almost a week ago saying he wants to “cut [Obama's] nuts off” and now we’re discovering that on top of that he might have called Obama “a n*gga” (source) and we’re flabbergasted? Really? Uh…hello! I think he’s allowed to. He fulfills both the requirements:
1.) JJ is black
&
2.) Come on, he’s hilarious (even if it’s unintentional).
I thought it was in the [black] Bill of Rights that one black man can call another black man the word n*gga and it’s almost considered a gesture of goodwill (chuckle). Maybe not, I don’t know. I like Obama and I like Jesse Jackson - how can you not? he is such a character - so clearly it’s another media circus having a field day with this whole thing.
Funny story - So I was walking downtown and I was rushing, speed walking, and I had to cut through a bunch of thug looking black guys (come on, you know what I’m talking about, don’t make me out to be this racist) and I had to sorta cut through them to get to a nearby art show. This one guy in the back said, “Yo, Check out this n*gga” (sic), referring to me, as if I dared an act of great boldness and immediately I was emotionally overwhelmed and conflicted. In one sense, I thought I had finally traversed across my nerdom into urbanhood. In an altogether different sense, I thought I should walk even faster cause it was clearly not an invitation to hang out. See, I told you it was funny. Alright, get outta here.

You wrote this for me, didn’t you… Gush.
I did.
Yeah Jesse is allowed to. He paid his civil rights dues i guess.
